Everything You Need To Know About PowerPress

Company Information

PowerPress is a small heat press manufacturer based in Boston. The company was founded in 2012 and since then, it provided heat press machines and maintenance for more than 100,000 customers in North America. PowerPress moved on from textile and they are interested in building machines that can print on more difficult surfaces, like wood and porcelain. They offer some very innovative heat presses and certainly stand out among the competition.

Sales Policies

PowerPress does not have a physical store. They have an online site where you can pay with a variety of different cards or via PayPal. They’ve also partnered with 3rd party sites like Amazon and Alibaba. Powerpress heat presses come with a 1-year warranty and lifetime technical support. PowerPress will also replace any malfunctioning or faulty part with a new one. Refunds are available within 30 days and replacement is available within a year from the sale date.

PowePress Heat Presses

PowerPress doesn’t offer a wide variety of heat presses, but you shouldn’t mix quality and quantity. They currently have 3 clamshell 15×15” models and two combo heat presses. One of them is 5-in-1 and the other 8-in-1. They’ve also pioneered what they call Home Press. A wonderful innovation that is more portable than any heat press on the market, with a fresh, unique design. It’s very easy to use and quite functional, and I’ll talk more about it in a bit.

Best 4 PowerPress Heat Presses

PowerPress 1515BK Industrial-Quality Heat Press

A Convenient Clamshell
The PowerPress industrial heat press is not the lightest model on the market with 48lbs, but that only makes it stable. The overall dimensions are 26″x15″15″ so you can see that the heating plate is 15″x15″. The good thing about this heat press is that it comes with Teflon-coated heating plate so you don’t have to worry about the material used on it, it fits almost every fabric. When it comes to other technical specs, you have to know that it needs 110V plug and 1400 Watts power output.

PowerPress Industrial-Quality Digital Sublimation 15x15 Inch

Safety First
Once you turn on the heat press, you have to wait for about 15 minutes for it to heat up completely. You can set up the temperature in both °C and °F which makes it user-friendly. There is a small LCD display, but it is located above the heating platen so it is hard to see it when the heat press is opened. The good thing, on the other hand, is the safety of the heat press. It comes with sound notification which tells you when the process is done. Also, it has safety from short-circuts and dual electric systems so you are covered.

PowerPress 8-In-1 Heat Press Machine

360 Spin

This PowerPress heat press weighs 62 pounds and its dimensions are 17x12x15.4”. It requires a standard 110 Volt plug and has a power output of 1250 Watts. It has a temperature range of 0 to 400 Fahrenheit with a 5-degree margin of error when displaying temperature. The PowerPress 8-in-1 combo is a swing-away heat press that rotates full 360°, which makes it safer to use, but also means it requires more space to do its job than a clamshell model might.

PowerPress Portable Heat Press Machine

Made To Be Flaunted

This tiny heat press weighs less than 10 pounds and has a 10×12” heating plate. It requires a 110 to 120 Volt plug and has a power output of 1000 Watts. It isn’t clamshell or swing-away, it’s something completely different. This manual press has two parts, a silicon base and a heating plate, reminiscent of a rectangular clothes iron. And that’s kind of what it is. You put your item on the silicon pad and gently press down the heating plate. That’s it. And it’s so small and light, you can use it absolutely anywhere. The stylish pink and gold colors its available to make it even more of an eye-grabber.

PowerPress HPM-0000-PK Heat Press

How It Works

This PowerPress HPM works on temperatures from 210 to 355 Fahrenheit for 5 to 120 seconds at a time. Don’t get discouraged, that just means that’s how long it takes to print a picture. Even after 2 straight hours of working it yields the same results, and only a slight bit of heat radiates from the handle. Inside it is 4 springs designed to evenly distribute the pressure you apply. There are 3 layers of insulation separating the external casing from the heating area. The press has a touch-screen display that might be a bit awkward to use as it is quite small.

PowerPress Parts And Accessories

As Powerpress make their own heat presses, you will probably need to contact them for any spare parts you might need. This might be a bit more expensive than with generic parts, but it also ensures you will get exactly the part you’re looking for. And you won’t even have to look for it much since you know who has it. As for accessories, transfer papers and heat-resistant tapes are all pretty similar, so just make sure you get the right size for your heat press, the manufacturer doesn’t matter as much.

PowerPress Manual

PowerPress heat presses come with an instructional manual, however, unfortunately, there is no online version of it. That means you need to keep your physical copy. That being said, if you do lose it, I’m fairly certain customer support won’t mind sending you a new PowerPress heat press manual if you lose or damage yours, but you probably don’t want to make a habit out of it. What their online site does have is this quick guide to using their heat presses. It’s not much, but it’s a start!

Conclusion – Final Thoughts On PowerPress

PowerPress heat presses are quite ordinary in every way. They look the same as most other brands, have similar specifications and attachments. I can’t say they’re particularly worse or better than any other brand. All except the last one mentioned in this review, which is why that’s the one I’d recommend PowerPress Portable heat press out of the bunch.
